A Black woman standing with strength and grace, representing the resilience at the heart of this mission

Our Story

Built on Her Strength.

A runway born from a diagnosis, a transformation, and an obedience to purpose.

The Founder's Journey

Her Story Is the Mission

Three years ago, our founder was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been in remission for two years — and what she discovered on that road changed everything.

Her journey wasn't just a battle against cancer. It was a season of complete transformation — the end of a marriage, a shift in identity, and the kind of loss that strips everything down to what truly matters. Through it all, she found herself. And she found her purpose.

Fashion has always been part of her story — she's run her own boutique for years. But through her journey, she saw it differently: her passion for fashion could be more than a business. It could be a stepping stone toward something greater. She began searching for charities she could support — organizations already fighting for women battling breast cancer — and found a gap. The resources weren't there. The presence wasn't there. That gap became her calling.

Her first show, the Runway Brunch: Where Pain Bought Purpose, was an act of obedience — a declaration that her pain would not be wasted. It marked the moment she understood how fashion and purpose could move together.

This show — The Harvest — is the next chapter. The seed was planted. Now she understands her full purpose: to build something lasting for the women who are walking the road she once walked. And this is only the beginning. She will continue to host the Runway Experience, each show carrying the mission further.

The Cause

What We're Fighting For

Black women are 40% more likely to die from breast cancer than white women — not because of biology, but because of barriers. We're working to remove those barriers, one woman at a time.

Rides to Treatment

Transportation to chemotherapy, radiation, and follow-up appointments. No woman should miss a treatment because she can't get there.

Living Expenses

Rent, utilities, groceries. When treatment makes working impossible, we step in to keep the lights on and the roof overhead.

Emergency Costs

The unexpected bills that arrive without warning — medical co-pays, prescriptions, childcare. We're building a fund to meet women where they are.

Community & Belonging

A safe-haven platform where women can find each other, share their stories, and never feel alone in their fight.

Where We're Going

The Road Ahead

The Harvest is the beginning. Every ticket sold, every dollar donated moves us closer to formally establishing a nonprofit — a permanent home for this mission.

We envision a platform where Black women with breast cancer can access emergency funds, find community, and receive the practical support that makes healing possible. Not someday. Soon.

“I went through cancer, the end of my marriage, and a complete shift in who I was — and on the other side of all of it, I found my purpose. This runway is it.”
